According to Expedia’s 2022 Travel Trends Report, 68% of respondents are prepared to ‘go big’ on their next holiday. If you’re itching to make that trip of a lifetime, our smaller ships have great adventures in store. Once the preserve of luxury hotels and elegant holiday villas, the latest infinity pools are making waves. In its article ‘7 Cruise Trends You’ll See in 2022’, Cruiseradio.net highlighted the growth of watery retreats on board the latest generation of cruise ships, including our newest ship, Arvia. Iona, Arvia’s Excel class sister ship, blazed the trail; her Infinity Pool is Insta-tastic! Here’s one for the folks back home.

Plant-based foods are set to make up to 7.7% of the global protein market by 2030, with a value of over $162 billion (up from $29.4 billion in 2020), according to a report by Bloomberg Intelligence. P&O Cruises has answered the call for healthy, meat-free and environmentally conscious dining with Arvia’s Green & Co feat. Mizuhana. SUSTAINABILITY FIRST
The 2022 edition of Mintel Consulting’s Sustainability Barometer reveals consumers are increasingly concerned about climate change, water and food shortages, waste and plastic – all of which harden their decision-making. We are focused on advancing sustainability and aspire to achieve net carbon-neutral ship operations by 2050. We’ve invested in two LNG-powered ships (Arvia and Iona) and some of our sustainability goals include achieving a 20% carbon intensity reduction by 2030, and increasing fleetwide shore power connection capability to 60% by 2030.
